Halifax, Nova Scotia — Canada has announced it is expanding its logistics and logistics services hub in Halifax to include more than 100 jobs.
Canada’s National Industrial Council (NIC) said it expects the new facility to be operational by the end of the year.
The expansion will include an expanded distribution center and a new logistics center, the NIC said in a news release.
“It’s a real-world opportunity for Canadians to learn and build in Canada, while at the same time growing their own businesses in a region with one of the most robust and vibrant economies in North America,” said Nic CEO Scott Braid.
NIC said it also expects to see increased competition in the market for logistics and transportation jobs.
